Young people can be the change they want to see in the world. It’s just that in many developing countries, young leaders do not always have the means to continue with their education and reach their full potential. Similarly, many young people do not have access to seed funding, business coaching, and/or confidence building opportunities to help them get started and put their ideas into practice.
Young people have diverse interest and talents, and may imagine community development taking place in a variety of ways. Not everyone will see a future through the lens of academia or higher education or a “traditional” career path.
Watipa curates a mentorship programme and partners with entrepreneurs in different countries to connect our scholars with hands on business experience, coaching, and investment opportunities where possible.
As a guide, here is an idea of how your generous donation translates to support for a young entrepreneur
- £50 = one day participation at a workshop for one entrepreneur.
- £100 = internet access for 3 months to support a start up phase.
- £500 = seed grant for one enterprise to get off the ground.
- £1,000 = one year mentoring support from a local business advisor.
You can give the gift of education through entrepreneurship directly through this website, and set up a recurring monthly or once off donation today.
